Mr. Daniel Dixon

Biography

I'm from Geneva, Alabama and a 2006 graduate of Geneva High School. I felt called to be a teacher after realizing the difference three of my teachers had on my life by encouraging me to challenge and believe in myself and to love learning. I wanted to have the same impact on the lives of others as those three teachers had on me.To achieve this goal, I attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida to major in Secondary Social Science Education and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in May of 2010. I began my teaching career in the state of Florida from 2010 to 2014 where I taught World History, United States History, Government, Economics, Geography, and Advanced Placement U.S. History. When presented with the opportunity back in 2014 to teach in my home state I accepted. My journey as an educator has brought me here in August of 2016 when I began teaching United States History, Government, and Economics to 10^th through 12^th graders at Geneva County High School in Hartford. I am glad to be a Bulldog and proud to teach the students of Geneva County High School.
